Physical Health Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
IBS is a most unpleasant complaint to sufferers, although not life threatening. Sufferers are not confined to any age group, they lead miserable lives and there is no effective medical treatment.
Painful stomach cramps, frequent attacks of diarrhoea, the resulting backache and disabling bouts of tiredness that follow these attacks sometimes alternate with prolonged and painful constipation and its after effects.
These symptoms can also apply to Colitis, Spastic Colon, Crohns disease and each case has to have a thorough investigation. When all the tests prove negative, IBS is found to be the only course left, the sufferer being left to get on with their miserable lifestyle as best as they can. Afraid to take holidays, social activities or even to leave the house because of the need for a toilet close at hand, it is common to find that anxiety and depression are present, and even working lives can be disrupted and personal relationships often break down.
Well, not any more! A treatment has been devised using hypnotherapy, which has proved to be amazingly successful and enables people to lead normal lives.
The treatment consists of five hypnotherapy sessions over a period of thirteen weeks, together with audio cd's which must be used in a very specific pattern, scheduled by the therapist. The processes used have been used in a medical research project in 1997. The results showed a reduction in symptomology and presenting severity of over 80% reduction. In some patients the symptoms were totally removed.
